GiftLink creates gift links for influencer cooperations. Creators open the link, pick their own products and enter their shipping address - GiftLink turns that into an automatic order at EUR 0.00 in your shop that runs through your fulfilment like any other order.
No. The order is created automatically via the Shopify Admin API, marked as paid and tagged “giftlink”. Manual draft orders and copying addresses out of DMs are gone.
Yes. You can enable an approval queue per gift link: the order is only created once you approve the redemption. Open requests are rejected automatically after 30 days - the temporarily stored shipping address is deleted in the process.
Name and email address are required; social profiles (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) are disabled, optional or required depending on the link settings. The shipping address flows directly into the Shopify order and is not stored permanently in the app database. The form works without cookies. Optionally, every creator receives a personal follower discount code (derived from their name, valid for 90 days). GiftLink matches orders using this code to the creator - deliberately without end-customer data: only order number, amount and timestamp are stored.
No. GiftLink documents the merchandise value of every gift as a documentation aid (e.g. for your accounting or flat-rate taxation under § 37b EStG). The tax treatment remains a matter for you and your tax advisor.
No. GiftLink is a technical tool for the workflow. Advertising labelling of induced posts, usage rights to creator content and your legal texts remain your responsibility - with legal advice where in doubt.
GiftLink is available in the Shopify App Store. After installing, you create a gift link, pick the product variants you want to release and share the link with your creator via DM, email or QR code - the redemption then lands in the approval queue or goes straight through as an order in your regular fulfilment.
